How do I receive a price quote for a particular home?
Go to any property page on the By the Sea Vacation Villas website and click "availability." Click your arrival and departure dates. Select the "book now" button. The price will show up under the check in and check out dates. You can see the individual price breakdowns for taxes and fees and click "continue" if you would like to book.

How do I book a property?
Follow the steps above.  After clicking "continue," fill out the reservation request form with your information. You will then be directed to a payment page, once payment is complete and the rental agreement has been agreed to, your reservation will be secured!

What is your minimum stay requirement?
We have a 7 night minimum. This is required by city ordinance.

Is the cleaning service included in the price?
The cleaning service is a required one time fee additional to that of the nightly rate. It covers the cost of cleaning when you leave.  You can see the price breakdown of all fees on the reservation page of our website.  You may pay for additional cleanings if you like such as mid week cleanings as well. There is not a daily cleaning service.

Is the 11% occupancy tax included in the price?
The 11% mandatory lodging tax is a required fee additional to that of the nightly rate. You can see the price breakdown of all fees on the reservation page of our website. 

Can you help us purchase real estate in Broward County?

Can I ship items to your office to hold?
Since several packages come to us daily we do suggest you us UPS: Hold for Pickup. Our physical office may be closed for the weekend to receive packages. Therefore the UPS My Choice program allows you to redirect your shipments to any The UPS Store location. Request your packages be delivered to The UPS Store near you for pickup ($5 per use for members, unlimited for premium members). To request that your package be delivered to The UPS Store, you simply contact UPS by phone at 800-PICK-UPS or log in to your My Choice account on UPS.com. You can also open a mailbox at The UPS Store, which allows you to receive mail and packages from any carrier. You get a real street address, 24-hour access (in most locations), text and email notification when you have packages, and much more. If you're not interested in a mailbox, you can also contact The UPS Store ahead of time to arrange for delivery to that specific location. You will be required to complete a form (i.e., Package and Expedited Letter Receiving Service Agreement) and pay a "package receiving" fee. Contact your local The UPS Store for more details.

Do you accept pets?
Generally, we do not accept pets due to our guests with allergies.  For shorter visits we do recommend you hire professional pet sitter/trainer.  We may accept a pet on case-by-case basis with per pet fee of $150 to cover the cost of steam cleaning curtains and rugs.  Guests will be responsible for paying any damages caused directly or indirectly by their pets during their stay. The pet fee may be subject to change.

What is the refundable damage deposit?
We do not charge a damage deposit, however, we keep all credit cards on file and will charge your card if there are damages or evidence of smoking in a property. Guests will be responsible for paying any damages caused directly or indirectly by themselves, their pets, or their guests during their stay.

I need additional items such as a crib, carseat, strollers, or even video games-where can I rent these items?
Please contact Baby Borrow 954-489-0081. www.babyborrow.com We can arrange for any items to be delivered to the home for your arrival.

When do I receive the address of the property?
Go to any property page on the By the Sea Vacation Villas website and click "location." The address will appear in the Google Maps screen. You may need to hover your mouse over the image to view the address.

When do I receive check-in information?
You will receive check-in information by email about once your balance is paid in full. In the Welcome Package we will include address and driving directions, a code to the keypads on our doors, and other helpful information.

What is the payment schedule?
25% of the total rental cost plus exit cleaning fee (normally $250) + $99 booking fee + any added services of the total payment upfront in order to secure your reservation.

When do I receive confirmation of my booking?
Confirmations are sent to you by email automatically when a reservation is made. YOUR RESERVATION IS NOT COMPLETELY CONFIRMED UNTIL we have ACCEPTED the reservation, FIRST PAYMENT IS MADE AND YOU HAVE AGREED TO THE RENTAL AGREEMENT.  

What is provided in the homes?
All of our homes are completely stocked including all cookware, linens, and towels. We also provide complimentary WiFi and Cable in all of our homes. Items you are responsible after first use are items stocked include, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, and conditioner.

Where do I pick up the keys for the home?
You will receive check in information emailed to you once your reservation is paid in full prior to arrival with your unique keypad door code.

What is your cancellation policy?
No refunds are given. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent.

How do I cancel my reservation?
To cancel your reservation you must contact By The Sea Vacation Villas as soon as possible.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in time is 4:00pm and Check-out time is 10:00 am.  Guests who opt for an early check-in pay should secure and pay for an additional day to their arrival.

What are the maximum occupancy rules?
Maximum occupancy is clearly stated under each properties web page. The maximum occupancy will also be clearly stated in the rental agreement. If the maximum allowable occupancy is breached, your credit card on file may be charged a penalty, and there may be cause for immediate eviction. In order to comply with the City of Lauderdale by the Sea code compliance.

Do you offer parking?

All of our homes  have either driveway or on-street parking.  No more than two cars per property please.  Please don't park in front of other homes.
