Cayo Castaways
Island retreat home with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath
If you are looking to get away to an off-grid island full of unspoiled jungle, miles of gulf coast beach and waters, welcome to your island retreat. No shoes, no shirt, no passport, no problem.
Arrive on the island of Cayo Costa by private boat or water taxi. A Club Car Golf Cart will be your transport to your vacation home which is only a few yards from the dock.
Walk throughout the sandy paths of one of the last remaining undeveloped coastal barrier islands between Boca Grande and Captiva. Seven miles of quiet beach known for shelling is only a 10 minute stroll.
Miles of sandy paths will allow you to experience seven biodomes ranging from thick jungle to dune grasses. Gofer tortoises and reptiles are among the island residents. Turtle nesting season begins in May with hatchings occurring at the end of the summer season. Eagles and Ospreys are sighted daily. Shore birds abound. For the lucky and observant, golden eagles are occasionally spotted.
Fishing is widely popular on Charlotte Harbor and Gulf Coast of Cayo Costa where tarpon fishing became famous.
This island retreat home is a spacious two bedrooms, one bath with open kitchen, dining and living area. Access to the roof top provides amazing views of sunrise on the bay and sunsets on the ocean side of the island.
