Perfect intersection of price, quality, and value!

The Hawaiian Haven and the Sands of Kahana in Maui is the perfect intersection of where price and quality meet resulting in exceptional value. The unit has everything you need, is well maintained, and they have a lot of little touches you don't find in other condos (vitamix blender, binoculars, ukulele to play, etc.). The smaller property not only affords you a less crowded beach but also very easy and fast to get to the ocean. We've stayed all over Maui in expensive places in Wailea, the more resort-like area in Ka'anapali, etc. and this experience was better. It was the perfect multi-bedroom unit for our family. We'd absolutely consider coming back.

Book it now!

We just returned from our wonderful stay at Hawaiian Haven and the Sands of Kahana in Maui, we are missing it so much already! This is an absolutely awesome unit and condo and a great option for families visiting the islands. We've stayed at a few vacation rentals in Hawaii and this was is super awesome in particular because 1) the unit is incredibly modern, super well remodeled and updated. The place was immaculate and has everything you need for your vacation, 2) the property itself is really great. Sands of Kahana is nice because it's near a bunch of stuff (I.e. Whaler's village, a variety of beaches) but is its own community with a great pool, beach, pickleball/tennis.. This means it's a bit quieter, and didn't feel as touristy as some other spots with all the resort style benefits. We rented paddle boards right from the snorkle store on property, and saw more turtles right there on the boards then on our turtle tour later! The property also just opened a new restaurant (Captain Jacks) which we really enjoyed - great option for an easy dinner, or a solid pre-beach day brunch. The owner was super responsive to our questions and was great to work with, cannot recommend this one enough for your next vacation, book it!

High-end rental, excellent value

Two words: Book it. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Our family (5 adults [incl. 2 seniors] + 3 young kids) had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hawaiian Haven for a week in August 2022. This is a HIGH END rental at a mid-range property for an excellent value. I was worried the unit might feel cramped with so many people, but any concerns were immediately alleviated upon entry - it's even larger than it appears in photos. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, clean, comfortable and perfectly styled. Every amenity is provided, from a fully-stocked kitchen, to beach gear and a swimsuit spin-dryer. The views are fabulous and there are two outdoor decks - one ocean-facing (perfect for breakfast and evening cocktails) and the other mountain-facing (we used as a little yoga studio and for drying towels & gear). The other reviews here from July/August 2022 (Jim L., Martin D., Lisa B.) are spot on. My sister, who owns several of her own vacation rental properties, was equally impressed. Kahana is ~15 minute drive from Front Street/Lahaina but there are many options for food/snacks and beaches at your doorstep here. We used the pool, splash pad and (small but perfectly lovely) beach here daily, and also drove ~10 mins up to Kapalua Bay for incredible snorkeling with sea turtles and every fish on the Snorkel Bob's fish card....and drove a couple minutes towards Lahaina to jump off the lower cliffs at Black Rock (Ka'anapali) and enjoy more excellent snorkeling there. Will throw in a plug here, too, for the Feast at Lele as a great luau option. I only had positive and helpful interactions with Brooke and Ken. The fees we saved booking directly through the www.hawaiihaven.com website (as opposed to booking through a popular rental site) we put straight into the recommended cancel-for-any-reason insurance...which we ALMOST needed, due to a medical emergency 3 days before departure! Luckily, we all made it out without incident, but it was a relief knowing that we were covered if needed. Brooke also allowed us a late checkout, which was extra helpful when our flight out got delayed...and their local property managers answered and helped immediately when I had a (my fault) issue with the door lock. I will add there were no noisy neighbors during our stay and the staff and other guests at the resort were all friendly and respectful in the common areas. All around fabulous rental experience. If we're lucky enough to get back to Maui, I would absolutely book this place again. Wish we lived here...didn't want to leave!

Huge, quiet, well-decorated and stocked

This place is priceless - our first condo vacation rental and I'm afraid anything in the future will be a disappointment. The owners have thought of everything! The kitchen is stocked better than mine. We had 5 adults and so much room. The unit is huge, quiet and decorated so well without being too cute (someone has a great eye). The view was wonderful - sitting on the largest lanai lookin at the ocean was about as good as it gets. The on-site restaurant was surprisingly good and of course very convenient. We all "fought" over sitting in the 2 egg basket chairs to read. The beds were all very comfortable, towels and linens quite nice. We booked in November for our recent June trip and couldn't be more pleased.
