First time staying at Gonzalez Hall and had a pleasant experience. In the heart of Viejo San Juan and Walking distance to almost everything! I am 100% disabled vet and this was also my first time staying at a MWR. Everyone was kind. Not having wifi in the room is probably my only complaint. I had to work during the day and ended up hotspotting from my phone which barely had a signal. Mariola was very responsive and professional. Besides that, great stay in San Juan and highly recommend.

The best run “AIRBNB” in Old San Juan !!! Thanks for another excellent stay. We rented two rooms, one for us and one for our grandkids. They actually loved it. Thanks again to Mariola for putting up with our after hours emails. She is an asset to Sector San Juan.

I spent 3 days at the hall and I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable in addition to being just a few blocks from bustling Old San Juan. Would highly recommend the facility for lodging just don't expect a resort experince.

Had a pleasant stay in Gonzalez Hall. Our room had a view looking over San Juan Bay and the Bacardi Distillery:-) Room was well maintained, clean, and cool. USO down stairs provided a place to lounge, relax and meet folks. Would have given five stars except the room had no chairs had to use the bed. Thank you will stay again when visiting!

My family and I spent 5 days at Gonzalez hall and it was perfect. It was in close proximity to the attractions of old San Juan. Everyone on base was polite and friendly. We would definitely stay there again

First time staying in this place and we loved it. Not a luxury hotel, but clean and comfortable with a great view of the San Juan bay. Walking distance too pretty much everywhere in Old San Juan that you may want to visit…and free parking which could be a challenge in the area. The folks at the gate were super nice and made us feel safe. Everyone with which we interacted at the base was nice and helpful. Ms. Rodriguez kept us informed all along and the check in/out was a breeze. We’d gladly stay there again. Jerry Valrico, FL

The rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent. Access was uncomplicated for being completely autonomous (weekend/after-hours). Highly recommend for families for the location, though more than 1 room would be required as a room can truly only handle 2 people as currently configured. These are indeed TAD rooms, but perhaps a room or two could re-configured to have a pull-out sleeper sofa to accommodate PCS’ing families or those on leave? The brand new USO right down stairs is a huge bonus. Overall, hats off to the administrators (Emma especially) as they were helpful, professional and courteous. I had a medical issue that had the possibility of interfering with our reservation (2 rooms). They were not able to make any changes without charging 50% of the fee, but were gracious about it. In the end, the medical issue did not interfere and the stay was great. Thank you.

The room was impeccable and the location was probably the best of the 4 locations we stayed in.

We had a great experience during our stay. The check in/out process was extremely easy and all the staff was extremely helpful. Mrs. Emma Rodriguez was great and constantly in touch to ensure we had a good stay. Loved the location and look forward to staying there again in a near future. Thank you again for everything!!!

Outstanding!!!!

Fantastic location and you can’t beat the price for being in Old San Juan! Rooms overlook the bay with free parking right outside the building. Exchange also a short walk and provides free laundry. Emma was very helpful! We did not eat in the Galley since such a short walk up the hill and plenty of places to eat. My wife and I had a wonderful time.

Thank you for excellent stay at Gonzales Hall in Old San Juan. Lodging price was very good for the location. The room was very clean and had everything that I needed for the two days. Lodging is about 7 minute walk to all of the main attractions in Old San Juan. All in all, this was a very positive and enjoyable stay. Thank you very much. Elroy Rosado

Room was clean, convenient and affordable. The location of the base makes everything in Old San Juan walkable (the most popular parking lot is right next to the base, and parking elsewhere is scarce) so its location is ideal. Checking in and out was easy, and you are able to get on an off base easily 24 hours. Perfect spot and price for what we needed, would totally do again!

I enjoyed my stay in Gonzalez Hall June 06 to June 10, 2021. I am one of the Deck Training Officers on board the New York Maritime Academy Training Ship that was visiting Puerto Rico the same days of my stay in Gonzalez Hall. The room was comfortable and I enjoyed watching TV during my evenings. I will definitely may a reservation to stay in Gonzalez Hall my next visit to Puerto Rico!! Captain Mark Neeson, USN, Ret.
