Upon reservation, easy to follow instructions were emailed to me making the whole process of checking in and checking out very simple. Upon arrival I found the room very clean with all the necessary amenities included. The air conditioning unit was in excellent working order which made it pleasant being in the room during the hot weather.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Gonzalez Hall Room 216 at CG Base San Juan! This place is conveniently located in Old San Juan with walking access to El Moro and Calle San Sebastián. The room was super clean and spacious. The check in process was easy and straightforward. I definitely recommend this location and look forward to staying here next time I visit the San Juan area.

Clean and safe with secure parking. Location can't be beat if your visiting San Juan. Very nice place.

Stayed there for the Sector San Juan COC. As usual, the room was clean with great air conditioning. Not my first stay. I keep returning. Reasonably priced, great place to stay. I’ll be back!

A great time was had in San Juan at Gonzalez Hall. The place was awesome. I looked out the window at the entrance to San Juan Harbor, a great location. The room was clean and had all the amenities one could want including a microwave, frig and great air conditioning. Folks on the base are friendly and helpful. Even the galley had great food. I highly recommend a stay at the MWR facility in San Juan.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gonzalez Hall. Our room, while far from luxurious, was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The proximity to everything in Old San Juan within reasonable walking distance (no more than 15-20 minutes walk) was fantastic. We also very much enjoyed the bayside seating area near Gonzalez Hall (seen clearly on Google satellite map) for morning coffee and evening adult beverages, often while watching cruise ships and other vessels coming and going. While small and limited in what it offers, the 24/7 self-serve Exchange on base was nice to have available. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Old San Juan is literally right outside the gate! The room was fine, breakfast downstairs was ok and the 24/7/365 self serve shopette convenient and adequate amount of items. I plan on staying again in the future for sure. Can’t beet it for price and convenience. BTW gate guards were so polite and nice. I’ll remember them most!

We enjoyed staying in Gonzalez Hall recently. The room was so convenient to be near our son and sightseeing in SJ. The room was clean and A/C chilly. We didn't think we needed a laundry card but ended up using it to dry wet items after we got caught in a downpour and after the beach. We appreciated how quiet it was at night. This was probably the biggest reason we decided to stay here instead of in OSJ. The price and convenience were exactly what we were looking for. Just 2 items to mention for your consideration. The room was very humid. Our son mentioned that he has a dehumidifier in his room and that would be a great addition to the guest rooms too. My clothes actually felt damp putting them on out of the suitcase. Also in the shower in room 216 there is a sharp piece of metal upturned on the drainage grate thing. It's right in the center of the shower so hard to avoid stepping on it. I ended up wearing my flip flops in the shower so as not to have to worry about it, but you should really get one of those talented DC's over there to fix that!

Base San Juan is an easy walk to Old San Juan and a short ride to many beaches, Condado and so much more. Rooms are clean and amenities are reasonable at a great price. The most impressive part of it all is that the base support personnel are all friendly and helpful. Start with the front gate security personnel, the temporary exchange, the crew at the Galley and the room maintenance personnel, ALL COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL! It’s great to stay at a place where they treat you like family. Congrats to MWR, Emma, and to the Base Commander. Smiling personnel and professionalism means there’s a healthy command climate. Great job! Highly recommend this facility.

My wife and I spent one night. The room was very clean and neat. The security at the gate were helpful and professional showing us where to go to our building . A pleasant stay close to everything in Old San Juan would stay there again.

It was a great experience! Specially, during checking-in and checking-out during non-regular hours. Instructions were clear and precisely on how to occupied and clear the room with zero difficulties. Cleanliness was excellent. Thank you for a great experience!

Close walking distance to Old San Juan's attractions makes this stay great if you're looking for a single room stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the base, our room was great, wonderful view! Everyone we met was helpful. Having a laundry card was new to us and made our stay that much better. I fully recommend anyone to enjoy staying at the Hall. We loved the ocean view and the Galley food was excellent! We hope to be back in a year!

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Old San Juan and stayed in Gonzalez Hall. The room was pretty basic but completely met our needs. It is important to know that wifi is not available in the rooms but is available in the recreation room downstairs. I also greatly enjoyed the fitness equipment and my husband enjoyed fishing from the shore. We saved a lot of money by staying in Gonzalez Hall and were able to use that money for food and fun. We did not rent a car. We used Uber to get to and from the airport. That worked great. We walked everywhere in Old San Juan and it was lots of fun. We felt safe wandering the streets, visiting the forts, and exploring the shops and restaurants. We are not night owls so we were always in before dark. I cannot say what the streets are like at night. We absolutely loved our time in Old San Juan and were grateful for our stay at Gonzalez Hall. Next time, we hope to stay in MWR housing at the other end of the island.
