Mariola was our Point of Contact for this reservation. She was amazing all the way through. Not only did she find us a room, but she also ensured we had access to transportation from the airport. The room was simple, as you would expect from MWR. But the amenities were clean and spacious. There was a full bedroom, living room, and kitchen area. It exceeded our needs. There are very few services on Base San Juan, but it is within walking distance to Old San Juan. For food, I recommend La Mallorquina. It is the oldest restaurant in San Juan, with original mirrors that have hung on the walls for almost 200 hundred years. Try the NY strip steak. It was the best my husband has ever had. Also, right next door to the La Mallorquina is a small pastry shop. I recommend trying the tripletta. They are absolutely delicious.
