How far is the cabin from the various attractions, stores, etc.?
Our “Lost in Time” cabin is located in a wonderful area in Gatlinburg. Perfect for visiting Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, Ober Ski Resort, the various shows, water rafting and etc. The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only minutes from the Cabin. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited park in the country, and with good reason – miles and miles of backcountry trails, pristine mountain streams, waterfalls and soaring mountain peaks.
What items do I need to bring?
Charcoal & lighter for the grill
Starter logs for the fireplace.

Personal hygiene items
We will get you started with tissue paper, paper towels, dish washing detergent, trash bags and hand soap, to last a day or two. If your reservation is longer you may want to bring more of these items with you.

Firewood is provided for the fireplace from late October thru March.

How private is the Cabin?
Unlike many cabins in the Smokies, “Lost in Time” is not part of a rental cabin compound. Our cabin is the last cabin on a no thru road in a private setting, yet convenient to all area attractions. Perched on top of a hill and surrounded by trees. Very private.
How many does the cabin sleep?
The cabin will accommodate up to 7 people. We have 2 beds (1 king, 1 queen) 1 day bed, and 1 sleeper sofa in the living room. With 1,900 SF there is plenty enough space to accommodate a large families.
Are there bears?
Occasionally there is a bear sighting. However, guests are asked to use common sense and caution with regard to food storage, trash disposal, etc
Are there Fishing close to the cabin?
Yes! Only a short drive from the cabin to the National park, or Green Brier, both are great for wading, tubing, and fishing and are routinely stocked with rainbow trout.
Are there Hiking Trails close to the cabin?
Yes, here are five of the most popular hikes near Gatlinburg and only a short drive from the cabin. You don’t want to miss the fun and beauty, Laurel Falls Trail, Chimney Tops Trail, Alum Cabe Trail, Grotto Falls, Ramsey Cascades tail. You will find more trails and beautiful waterfalls throughout The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
