It feels like you’re up in a treehouse!

It feels like you’re up in a treehouse! A treehouse with amazing amenities, that is. The house is spacious and has the feel of a retro cabin that has been lovingly cared for with quality upgrades. The kitchen is very well provisioned and larger than it appears in the photos. We had everything we needed to prepare all our meals during our stay. The wood stove made for cozy ambiance in the evenings, and the hosts have firewood & kindling available. The spa is top of the line and brand new. The outdoor entertainment system is a nice setup. The hosts have provided detailed instructions on everything you need to use in the house, making it easy to just show up and be right at home. Obtaining a BBQ permit from the fire department is fast & simple. They’re easy to find in town, just show up before 4pm and have with you the names & telephone numbers of the hosts. Easy peasy, and worth it to grill dinner on the deck while watching the golden light of the early evening on the mountains. Look down and you’ll likely spot deer wandering right under you! The views from the windows and off the deck are amazing. The views from the bedrooms are private and secluded. From the living room and kitchen you have wide open views to the mountains on the other side of town. As the day moves on you get to see the light and shadows change on the mountains, and it’s like you see it new for the first time over and over again. One day during our stay a heavy fog rolled in slowly. We watched it creep in up the mountains, and little by little the trees around us started to disappear and we were slowly surrounded by the mist. It felt like we were way up lost in the clouds. It was magical. All the other days were sun-filled and we spent hours in the spa or hanging out on the deck watching the birds. Be still and you’ll be visited by all sorts of wildlife—both real and imaginary ;) I don’t want to give too much away by listing every charming detail, but I think you’ll be delighted when you come across some surprises yourself. The house is quite close to the heart of town. You can see the lights of town from the deck at night, and sometimes you get to hear some of the sound from the live music performances. But it is very secluded and peaceful at the cabin. During the day we mostly heard the songbirds, and at night the tree frogs. The Mile High Hideaway definitely lives up to the description and photos. I highly recommend it!
