Take a break from everyday life at Sanctuary 2.0. Located on a quiet road in Alpine Lake Resort, this charming log cabin is just right for a romantic escape, friends gathering, or small family getaway. The lake is a short (less than 1 mile) beautiful walk from the cabin. Sanctuary 2.0 is our cozy one-story log cabin tucked away in the peaceful mountains of West Virginia. You’ll have all the comforts of home with a well-supplied kitchen, WiFi, Smart TV, Amazon FireTV, gas BBQ grill, fire pit, and a deck to view the wildlife that surrounds you. Located in Alpine Lake Resort, as a guest, you'll have access to the 18-hole golf course, indoor heated swimming pool, game room, mini-golf, indoor gym, restaurant, hiking trails, 150-acre lake for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Some of these amenities come with a small fee (i.e. boat rentals) that can be paid to the staff upon rental. Our favorite way to start the day is by sitting on the deck listening and watching the assortment of birds, chipmunks, deer, and other wildlife. If you are still enough, hummingbirds often come to feed at the feeder on the deck. In the evenings, a stroll along the lake, especially when the moon is high, is a pleasant way to end the day. Or enjoy a relaxing time around the fire pit, making s’mores and plenty of memories. Area homeowners and guests are very friendly and helpful, with minimal traffic. Our road is "off the beaten path" and is located up a small hill of the lake and less than 3/4 mile from the beach/swimming area. Our home and the community amenities are well maintained and serviced throughout the year. The roads surrounding the lake are mostly flat and good for bicycling.
