Lovingly known as The Dacha for nearly 80 years, this one-of-a-kind gem was built in 1945 as a studio for the artist who once called the property home. Fully insulated for cozy winter stays, or summer trips to explore coastal New England, the unique structure is tucked away on a peaceful piece of land, just five minutes from downtown Mystic.

Amenities & Accommodations

Blending historic charm with modern comforts, The Dacha offers designer décor, a welcoming fireplace, and serene surroundings.  The space is open, with vaulted ceilings and a lofted queen size bedroom.  The original timber frame is in tact, and small ship-like bathroom on the second floor is lined in teak.  The kitchenette has two stove top burners, a dishwasher, refrigerator, along with several stored appliances- such as a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and waffle maker.  The guest house sits next to the main house,  with its own private driveway and entrance.

To keep the Dacha at its best, we have a $90 cleaning fee.  

No Pets are allowed at this time.

The Dacha is perfectly located—just a five-minute drive into the heart of Mystic—offering the best of both worlds: peaceful privacy surrounded by nature, yet close to all the coastal charm, local beaches, wineries, and year-round attractions that make Mystic a beloved destination.  It serves as a guest house on 3 acres of property, which it shares with the primary home owner and her family, dog, and chickens.  

Nestled along the scenic coastline of southeastern Connecticut, Mystic is a charming seaside village known for its rich maritime history, walkable downtown, and vibrant New England character. Guests can stroll along the Mystic River, explore the famous Mystic Seaport Museum and Aquarium, or enjoy boutique shopping, art galleries, and award-winning restaurants downtown.
