STAY REQUIREMENTS

During Prime Season, Summer Season, Spring Break and Holiday weeks, Barefoot Bliss typically rents weekend to weekend with 7-night stays.

During other periods, 5- or 6-night stays and alternate check-in/check-out dates may be available due to extended stays or non-peak weeks. Please send an INQUIRY before submitting a booking request if you are interested in different dates or a shorter stay.

Check-Out: By 9:00 AM

Because we frequently have same-day guest turnovers, please do not schedule an earlier arrival ferry or later departure ferry unless an early check-in or late check-out has been approved in advance. Trip Insurance is ALWAYS recommended.

THE TOWNHOUSE

Barefoot Bliss is bright, tropical and welcoming with beautiful Harbor and Bay views and wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces for enjoying North Captiva.

The main first floor level features a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast bar and informal dining area. The bright living room offers soaring ceilings and a comfortable entertainment area.

The kitchen, living room and King Main Suite are all conveniently located on the first floor.

BEDROOMS & SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS

KING MAIN SUITE

The first-floor Main Suite features a King-size bed, private en suite full bathroom with shower and access to the large back balcony.

SECOND-FLOOR GUEST BEDROOMS

The spacious second-floor Queen Guest Bedroom features a Queen bed, daybed, TV and beautiful Harbor water views.

The additional bright Guest Bedroom “Kids Room” offers two Twin beds and a TV, with low bedframes providing additional ceiling height.

A second full bathroom with a tub/shower combination is located on this level.

Maximum occupancy is 6 guests.

OUTDOOR LIVING & HARBOR VIEWS

Barefoot Bliss offers two outdoor balconies plus an additional deck for relaxing and enjoying island life.

One screened balcony offers beautiful Harbor views, while the large back balcony provides breezy outdoor dining and lounging areas.

Enjoy morning coffee, tropical breezes, beautiful skies and North Captiva sunrises and sunsets from your own outdoor spaces.

A private propane grill is also provided.

COMPLIMENTARY 6-PERSON GOLF CART

There are no cars on North Captiva Island. Transportation around the island is by foot, bicycle or golf cart — part of the charm of a true island vacation!

Barefoot Bliss includes one complimentary 6-person golf cart with your vacation rental.

The beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches are approximately a 3- to 4-minute golf-cart ride, depending on which beach you choose.

Bringing your own boat?

Boat dockage is available for rent with Barefoot Bliss for approximately $60 per day additional.

The docks also offer electric and water service.

Please inquire regarding dockage availability and arrangements for your stay.

NO PETS

Please note that Safety Harbor Community HOA does not allow vacation-rental guests to bring pets to this property.

This is a Safety Harbor HOA community rule.

THINGS TO DO ON NORTH CAPTIVA

Enjoy world-class fishing and shelling, miles of white sugar-sand beaches, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, snorkeling, kayaking, biking, swimming and exploring the State Preserve.

Watch for dolphins playing around the island, manatees near the docks, gopher tortoises and an incredible variety of native birds and wildlife.

Rent a private fishing charter or boat, visit Cabbage Key, explore nearby islands or simply spend the day relaxing on the beach.

North Captiva offers dining at Over the Waterfront in Safety Harbor, Mainstay/Barnacles, Mangos and The Boathouse Restaurant.

You’ll also find convenience items, ice cream, specialty foods, gifts and boating supplies on the island.

Boats and Fun offers boat rentals, private fishing charters, fat-tire bikes, kayaks, fresh seafood ordering and other island services.

Whatever your idea of an island vacation — adventure, fishing, shelling, boating or simply relaxing — Barefoot Bliss is a wonderful place to enjoy it.

ABOUT NORTH CAPTIVA ISLAND

North Captiva is an unspoiled remote barrier island located off Southwest Florida in the Gulf of Mexico.

Approximately two-thirds of the island is State Preserve, offering beautiful natural areas and walking trails leading toward the Gulf.

North Captiva is known for its incredible beaches, wildlife, tropical vegetation, world-class shelling, fishing and water activities.

The island offers four restaurants and three bars, along with “Mangos” convenience store, “Boats and Fun” Store and additional shopping and services.

Additional island services may include boat rentals, fishing charters, golf-cart and fat-tire bike rentals, fresh seafood delivery, private chefs, prepared meals, massage services, photography and excursions to Cayo Costa, Boca Grande and Cabbage Key.

Please remember that there is no traditional full-size grocery store on North Captiva, so grocery planning before arrival is important.

GETTING TO NORTH CAPTIVA

North Captiva is accessible only by boat or private plane. You cannot drive to the island.

Most guests flying into Southwest Florida arrive at RSW – Southwest Florida International Airport and then travel to Safe Harbor Pineland Marina on Pine Island.

Guests may reach North Captiva by scheduled ferry, private water taxi/charter or their own boat.

For guests using Island Girl Charters, the ferry ride to North Captiva is approximately 30 minutes. Barefoot Bliss guests most commonly arrive at the Safety Harbor Club dock.

The round-trip adult ferry fare is approximately $59.00 plus tax per adult.

Paid overnight car parking at the marina is approximately $12.00 per night.

Ferry transportation and marina parking are paid separately by guests and are not included in the Barefoot Bliss rental rate.

Ferry schedules, availability and pricing can change, so please confirm current information before booking flights and finalizing your travel arrangements.

Upon arrival on North Captiva, our on-island concierge will meet you at the ferry, help get you acquainted with the island and assist with transporting you, your luggage and groceries to Barefoot Bliss.

GROCERIES & ISLAND CONCIERGE

You have several options for groceries:

• Bring groceries with you on the ferry
• Arrange for a personal shopper to meet you before departure
• Have groceries purchased and stocked in Barefoot Bliss before arrival
• Arrange grocery delivery during your stay

Complete information and available options will be included in your Barefoot Bliss Welcome Package after booking.

Personal shopping, grocery stocking and similar concierge services may involve additional guest charges.

Our island concierge can also assist with your departure at the end of your stay.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

North Captiva is a remote barrier island, and weather, transportation interruptions, flight delays and other unexpected circumstances can affect travel plans.

Ferry transportation, private charters, marina parking, personal shopping and other third-party services are not included in the Barefoot Bliss rental rate unless specifically stated otherwise.

SECURITY CAMERA

In accordance with disclosure requirements, one exterior security camera is located outside the property facing the front entrance.

Barefoot Bliss is professionally managed by Swept Away Realty, Inc., a licensed local property manager with full-time on-island concierge assistance.
