We ask that all patrons familiarize themselves with and abide by the following policies and regulations to help us maintain the A-Frames in a good working condition.
Coast Guard recreational lodging facilities are open to all authorized MWR patrons.
Guests are reminded to be cautious of possible snow shedding from the surrounding roofs. Especially the main entrance into the building.
Valid Government I.D. confirming MWR patron status required upon check-in.
Reservations
Reservations are accepted for stays within 90 days from today's date. Reservations can NOT be booked more than 90 days in advance. (For example, if today's date is 01 April 0800 PST, reservations up to 29 June will be available. Please review the calendar for open dates.) Reservation requests are not processed daily. Once the request is received, an email will be sent confirming your stay and payment. All reservation requests will be submitted through the automated system. No reservations will be taken over the phone. Full payment is due 14 days prior to check-in.
Credit Card Disclaimer
Station Lake Tahoe is responsible for the security of cardholder data our website stores, process, or transmit on behalf of the customer.
Cancellation of Reservations
In the event that patrons need to cancel their reservations, please email via our website and include the reservation #, A-Frame unit that was reserved, and reservation dates. Station Lake Tahoe administers the A-Frame reservations and shall be notified if the patron will not be able to utilize the reservation. Notification made within two weeks (14 days) prior to the check-in date of the reservation will receive a 50% refund, this does not include the $25 processing fee. Notifications made greater than 14 days in advance will receive a full refund not including the $25 holding fee. There will be no refund for any reservations cancelled within 3 days (72 hours) before check-in. This policy is non-applicable in the event of reservations cancelled due to inclement weather or emergencies.
Patrons who fail to cancel their reservations and are a no show will forfeit their entire standard rental rate reservation fee. Failure to pay this fee will result in the patron being refused reservations in the future.
If cancellation is due to an emergency beyond the control of the member (i.e., military orders, illness, death in the immediate family) payment will be refunded without regard to the date; however, proof of the emergency is required (copy of orders, doctor’s slip, etc.).
Any reservation that is cancelled within 24 hours of initial online reservation request will not incur a processing fee. All other cancellations will incur a $25 processing fee charged to the credit card used to book the reservation.
All reservations upon booking need to have Status (Active Duty, Reserve, Retired, Spouse, GS, etc), Affiliation (USCG, USMC, USN, USA, USAF, USSF, NOAA, USPHS), and duty or drilling location entered in the note.

Check-In
Check-in time will be any time between 1500 - 2000 on the first day of the reservation. IF UNABLE TO ARRIVE BY 2000 due to emergency (weather, traffic conditions, accidents, etc,) notify the Officer of the Day at Station Lake Tahoe by dialing (530) 583-4433. Any Check-ins after 2000 may incur a $10.00 late check in fee charged to the credit card used to book the reservation. It is your responsibility to plan accordingly and notify the station for any reason that prevents you from arriving by 2000. Failure to notify the station that you will arrive late may result in your reservation being canceled. REQUESTS TO CHECK-IN AFTER 2000 MUST BE APPROVED BY THE MWR CUSTODIAN OR AFRAME COORDINATOR PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. Requests to check-in after 2200 will not normally be approved and may require the guest to find other accommodations. Proper GOVT/DOD/DHS credentials must be presented upon check in with OOD.
Check-Out
Check-out time will be 1000 on the last day of occupancy. You are not required to check-out with a member of the unit unless you request specifically to do so. Station will conduct a walk through after you check-out to make sure there is no damage or missing items. If determined that there is damage the A-Frame Coordinator will charge the sponsoring patron's card in accordance with the Damage Policy listed below.
Cleanliness
A cleaning company will clean the unit after each patron checks out, however, patrons are still required to clean the dishes and the list that is on the refrigerator. This is not a housekeeping service as they will not clean every day during your stay. They will only clean when you check-out from the unit. There is a $25 cleaning fee (same as the booking fee) for all stays. This is a mandatory fee for all reservations made with Station Lake Tahoe's MWR Facility.
Pets
***POLICY UPDATE: As of June 25, 2024 our pet policy has changed to allow service animals only. Reservations approved prior to this date including pets will be honored.
Note 1: If tenants are found to have a pet in the cabin without prior approval from the Morale Officer or Coordinator, their reservation may be terminated immediately, all payments made will be forfeited, future reservation requests will be declined, and a pet cleaning fee of $250.00 will be applied.
Note 2: Any pet or smoke odor will result in a minimum cleaning fee of $250 charged to the credit card used during booking process.
Smoking
Tobacco products are allowed in designated smoking areas. No smoking is allowed inside the A-Frame buildings or within 20 feet of doorways or windows.

Alcohol Consumption
Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, etc.) shall not be consumed outside of the grassy area in the immediate vicinity of the A-Frame units. No alcohol shall pass beyond the parking area of the A-Frame units.
Damages
All furnishings are the property of the United States Coast Guard and shall remain in the A-Frames. Any damages to the A-Frame or furnished equipment through recklessness or negligence the sponsor will be responsible for the cost of repair and/or replacement. All discrepancies will be reported to OOD, USCG Station Lake Tahoe.
Noise Level
Loud and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated. Be considerate of your neighbors.
Transferring Occupancy
(I.e. giving your reservation to someone else). You may not transfer occupancy privileges. Occupancy will be by sponsor making the reservations and his/her guest. No occupancy will be permitted without the sponsor being one of the occupants. Occupying a unit by someone other than that assigned by Officer In Charge, Station Lake Tahoe is prohibited. Officer In Charge, Station Lake Tahoe, can only make reassignment.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is provided. You will receive the Wi-Fi password upon arrival.

I. INTERNET USE
A. Introduction As part of its mission to provide a wide range of information resources to its Guest’s, the MWR A-Frame’s provides computers with unrestricted access to the Internet, including through its MWR Guest wireless network.
B. Internet Access. The Internet, an essential medium for obtaining and transmitting valuable information of all types, is unregulated and offers access to information that is inaccurate, biased, illegal, or that may be offensive or disturbing to some users. STA Lake Tahoe MWR does not monitor an individual's use of the Internet; nor does the STA Lake Tahoe MWR employ filtering software.
C. Responsibilities of Guests and Users. STA Lake Tahoe MWR staff will not monitor a user's Internet use, except for time limits in order to ensure equal opportunity of access for everyone. The user, or the parent/guardian of a minor, is responsible for his or her Internet activity at all times.
STA Lake Tahoe MWR reserves the right to terminate an Internet session that disrupts services or in the event that a user violates STA Lake Tahoe MWR policy.
STA Lake Tahoe MWR affirms the right and responsibility of parents/guardians, not the STA Lake Tahoe MWR, to determine and monitor their minor children's use of the Internet. Parents who believe that their children cannot responsibly use the STA Lake Tahoe MWR Internet access are requested to monitor their children’s Internet use.
D. Disclaimer. STA Lake Tahoe MWR strives to provide Guests with access to information of the highest quality; however, the STA Lake Tahoe MWR specifically disclaims any warrant as to the accuracy, timeliness, authoritativeness, or usefulness of content located via the Internet. STA Lake Tahoe MWR will have no liability for direct, indirect or consequential damages related to the use of information accessed through the STA Lake Tahoe MWR Internet service.
E. Unacceptable Uses of STA Lake Tahoe MWR Internet Examples of inappropriate use include, but are not limited to, the following:
a. Violation of computer system integrity;
b. Unauthorized tampering with computer hardware or software;
c. Storage of data to anything other than a personal storage device;
d. Violation of software license agreements or copyright laws;
e. Violation of another user's privacy;
f. Compromising the safety and security of others or the property of others.
g. Illegal acts involving STA Lake Tahoe MWR resources may also be subject to prosecution by
local, state or federal authorities.
F. Response to Violations
Failure to comply with this policy and related library procedures may result in the
suspension of access to STA Lake Tahoe MWR Internet service.
II. WIRELESS ACCESS
This service is free of charge and subject to the terms of the STA Lake Tahoe MWR Internet
Use Policy and terms and conditions of use as follows:
A. LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS
a. Wireless access is provided as a public service free of charge on an as-is basis with no
guarantee and no warranty. The wireless network is subject to periodic maintenance and
unforeseen downtime;
b. There are risks involved with connecting to a public wireless connection, such as
possible viruses, malware, loss of data, possible hacking/snooping by others
connected, and possible hardware/software failure. It is the user’s responsibility to
protect his/her information from all risks associated with using the Internet,
including any damage, loss, or theft that may occur as a result of using the STA
Lake Tahoe MWR’s wireless access;
c. All STA Lake Tahoe MWR Wi-Fi users should have up-to-date antivirus software
installed on their computers/devices;
d. STA Lake Tahoe MWR assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment,
users must keep their equipment with them at all times;
e. In using this free Internet access, users agree and hereby release, indemnify, and
hold harmless, STA Lake Tahoe MWR, its officers and employees, and any
affiliate, from any damage that may result from a patron’s use of the wireless
access. While using this wireless access, users acknowledge that they are subject
to, and agree to abide by all laws, and all rules and regulations of STA Lake
Tahoe MWR, the State of California, and the federal government that is,
applicable to Internet use;
f. At its sole discretion, STA Lake Tahoe MWR may terminate this public service at
anytime without prior notice;
g. Any attempt to circumvent STA Lake Tahoe MWR procedures or any unauthorized
attempt to access or manipulate library equipment may result in suspension of use
of the Wi-Fi network services contained herein.
"I _______________________________ agree to reimburse, indemnify, defend and hold harmless the United States of America, the Department of Homeland Security, the Coast Guard, the Coast Guard MWR program, its agents and employees from all claims and causes of action that arise or may arise from my (our) use of the Coast Guard MWR equipment or facilities."
Supplemental Information
Updated: 10/11/2023 for all new reservations
A: Due to recent credit card fraud, all personnel requesting a reservation will be charged a booking fee of $25.00 per request. This $25.00 fee will also be used as the cleaning/cancellation fee.
B: One-night stays are not authorized, unless approved by the MWR Officer.
C: The one-bedroom (upper level) units sleep 6 people. The 2-bedroom (lower level) units sleep 6 as well, however, they have the ability to sleep 8.
D: Members en-route PCS and TDY rental rate supporting Coast Guard operations in the area (with proof of orders), rate is $124.00 per night. Please contact MWR Officer for details.
E: Station Lake Tahoe members, rate is 50.00 per night.
F: DoD/DHS MWR unit group events rate is $80 per night, minimum stay of 3 nights not to exceed 4-nights. Please contact unit MWR Officer for details.
